Want to learn how to make beautiful advent wreaths yourself? I have just what you need: a Christmas wreath workshop organized by the florist Sylvie in Kaysersberg. Wreath to hang on the door or to put on the table, Sylvie guides you step by step in its realization. Perfect to get in the Christmas mood!

The making of the Advent wreath starts with the making of the wreath base. A straw base and wire are used to hang the fir branches, moss or leaves that will form the base of the wreath. You have to be careful to be regular to get a nice crown! Fortunately, Sylvie is there to correct the small defects.

Then comes the time to decorate. Sylvie then takes out countless boxes containing each one of the prettiest decorations: oranges, cinnamon sticks, pine cones, colored ribbons, Christmas ornaments, small wooden or felt figurines, candles… It’s like being in Ali Baba’s cave! The hardest part is choosing among all these beautiful things to decorate your Christmas wreath. We try things out, we feel like we’re never going to get a good result, but eventually we do. Just a small dot of glue on each decoration and you’re done!

I really had a great time at this workshop. The atmosphere was very nice and the design of the wreaths was very fun and relaxing. As a bonus, it’s really nice to leave (proudly) with the Advent wreath you made yourself!
