Are you looking for a furnished apartment to rent in Colmar for a weekend or a vacation? I tested the magnificent 1834 & Spa apartments. Why this name? Because they are apartments located in a building dating from 1834 and… the building has its own spa area! Quite a nice program for a home located in the city, isn’t it? The building was once a hotel, which has been completely refurbished to transform simple rooms into 11 comfortable apartments, ranging from 19 to 40m2 and accommodating between 2 and 4 people.
Themed apartments
One of the particularities of 1834 & Spa is that each apartment has its own theme. You can choose the atmosphere that you like the most, according to your tastes and desires. Whether you’re in the mood for the romantic charm of a Venice apartment, the industrial ambiance of Brooklyn or an African atmosphere, you should find what you’re looking for. The decoration has been done by a professional and it shows: every detail has been carefully thought out and the apartments have a real personality. I warn you, the hardest part will be to choose 😉 I had the chance to visit the different apartments and they all really have their charm.
The apartments are all very well equipped: fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine Jura beans … We can see that everything has been well thought out to make the stay comfortable. You can easily stay there for a week: don’t hesitate to do so, Colmar is a good base to explore Alsace!
My apartment: the Venice, perfect for a romantic stay
I slept in theVenice apartment, certainly one of the most adapted for a romantic stay in Colmar as its atmosphere is romantic. Its volumes are magnificent, its period moldings and stained glass windows as well and it has a superb bathtub in the middle of the room. Have a small meal delivered, open a bottle of Crémant d’Alsace… And enjoy your evening!
Spa area
The 1834 and Spa space is located in the basement of the building and is 200m2. It has a Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, a rest area with two sun loungers and a shower. It’s a beautiful and pleasant space where it’s good to spend a moment after a day of visit!
Access to the wellness area is usually shared among the tenants of the 11 apartments in the residence. Due to the health context, it is only accessible privately at this time. With your accommodation reservation, a private access of one hour is offered to you, according to availability. Beyond that, it is possible to book a private access to the whole wellness area, for 60 minutes, at a rate of 50€.
Location
The apartments 1834 & Spa are well placed in Colmar: they are not in the pedestrian center but really at its limit, it is enough to walk 2 minutes to be there. And if you come by car, it will be easier to park.
