The gîtes Loft Panorama (Loft & Pool) are beautiful and atypical lodgings located in Osenbach, in the Massif des Vosges. The gîtes are both built on the heights of the village, really on the side of the cliff, which allows them to enjoy a beautiful view of the surroundings. They are made of wood, recently built and decorated in a modern style, with punchy colors. They reflect the personality of the dynamic Laurence, the owner of the place who warmly welcomes visitors with her husband Bernard.

In addition to their architecture and location, one of the big assets of the Loft Panorama cottages is the large swimming pool, with a huge terrace on the edge. You can swim, ride anaquabike (bikes are available in the water!), lounge on a deckchair, have an aperitif on the big table… It is a superb place because it is located on a huge wooded area. You feel cut off from the world, it’s very pleasant!

Sky Lodge

The Sky lodge is a small 30m2 lodge located at the top of the grounds: it benefits from an even more beautiful view than the rest of the place. As a bonus, its two terraces allow you to really sit back and admire the view. Inside, it is a studio on two floors: living room and kitchenette downstairs, bedroom on the 1st floor. The structure is all in wood and the decoration in yellow tones, it is very cosy. People who are too tall might not feel very comfortable there on the other hand (watch your head when going upstairs!).

My stay at the Loft & Pool

I was invited to stay at the Loft & Pool, the large 60m2 cottage. As its name indicates, we really have a loft atmosphere here: it is a single room where we find the living room, the bedroom and the kitchen. The bathroom is separate. The Loft & Pool is made of wood, decorated in orange tones (it gives you a peachy feeling!) and hashuge windows giving the impression of being between sky and forest: it’s very pleasant and refreshing! Everything is recent and we can see that a special effort has been made to make the place pleasant: between the hammock, the chair with massage cushions, the electric bed… No doubt, well-being is at the heart of the concept! The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, hotplates, an oven and a coffee machine. In my opinion, the only thing missing in the loft is a small couch to curl up on.

Rent a Lotus Caterham

If you are a fan of old cars and wish to have a little pleasure during your stay, it is possible to rent a Lotus Caterham for a half-day, a day or a weekend with Laurence and Bernard. No doubt about it, your ride on the Alsatian roads should take on a whole new dimension!

Location

Loft Panorama is located in Osenbach. We are globally halfway between Colmar and Mulhouse, on the mountain side. It is a good location because you can enjoy the calm, the beauty and the activities of the Vosges Massif (hiking, walking on the Route des Crêtes for example) while going easily visit Colmar or Mulhouse (both about 30 minutes away) and walk along the Alsace Wine Route.

I liked

  • Atypical and beautiful place
  • Pool and terrace
  • Calm and green
  • Air conditioning (useful for the summer in Alsace!)

I liked less

  • Cleaning fee not included
