Pêche de Vigne in Rodern – Charming hotel with spa

by | Updated on 3/03/2023 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

Hotel Pêche de Vigne is located in the pretty little village of Rodern, on the Alsace Wine Route. I had the pleasure of discovering them because someone following the blog advised the owners, Lucie and Bernard, to contact me! Good for him, I got to know this beautiful place!

The rooms of Pêche de Vigne are located in an old wine farm of the XVIth century, in the heart of the village. Once through the large, massive door, one discovers a pretty courtyard flanked by beautifully renovated old buildings. In the summer, it must be nice to settle there… We have the choice, the terrace by the pool is also a good option! The place is huge, you could almost get lost!

Pêche de Vigne has some pretty incredible common areas. A relaxation areaFirst of all, there are two huge lounges in a row, where you can relax by a stove and have a drink (drinks are available, you just have to pay in a small box) or play billiards or table soccer while listening to the music you have chosen on the jukebox! Superb.

A very nice wellness area, then. You have at your disposal a spa including a sauna, a hammam, a whirlpool bath, a massage room (massages can be booked in advance), a rest room and, outside, a jacuzzi and a heated swimming pool. Everything is modern, well laid out and very pleasant. Quite fabulous!

My room at Pêche de Vigne

Depending on the building, the rooms are quite different in style, as you will see in the pictures, but all are nice, good size, well appointed and comfortable. I stayed in the Colombages room, a huge room of 50m2 with beautiful exposed beams and a traditional yet elegant decoration. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bathroom this big! I slept very well there, in a very comfortable bed.

Most of the rooms are located on the second floor, so it is necessary to go up one floor to access them. However, there is a room adapted for people with reduced mobility (PMR), located on the first floor of the building and just as pretty as the others. Good to know ☺

Breakfast

The breakfast served at Pêche de Vigne is buffet style. But beware, a very qualitative buffet with a strong emphasis on local and organic products. You will find a selection of organic fruit juices, homemade jams, cheeses from Ribeauvillé, cold cuts, various cereal breads, homemade compotes and cakes, a huge choice of Jardins de Gaïa tea… Not to mention eggs on demand. What a delightful omelet I had, served with little mushrooms and herbs! In short, excellent!

Dinner at Pêche de Vigne

A dinner is proposed in the evening, for the greatest pleasure of the customers who can settle in the superb stone cellar to taste good small Alsatian dishes. For my part, I had a tasty and copious assortment of dishes as a starter, highlighting the trout from a farm in Orbey (a few kilometers away), then a winegrower’s pie (typically Alsatian and also served very generously!) and finally a chocolate mousse. Excellent!

Location

Pêche de Vigne is located on the Alsace Wine Route, in the village of Rodern. Rodern is not a very touristy village but it is nevertheless very cute: with its beautiful wine farms and its half-timbered houses, it is typically Alsatian. We are only a few minutes drive from Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr and the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg, only 25 minutes from Colmar and 40 minutes from Strasbourg, which makes it a great place to stay on the Wine Route. Just don’t expect a very lively village: we are here in the quiet, and it’s very pleasant!

I liked

  • Beautiful old Alsatian farmhouse
  • Spacious and comfortable rooms
  • Truly remarkable living room and spa
  • Delicious dinner and breakfast with a focus on local products

I liked less

  • You have to park in the village (you will find it easily but you have to know it!)
  • Wifi that is a bit slow
