Christine Ferber is the “jam fairy“; that’s the nickname newspapers are giving her. Her jams are known worldwide and served in the best Paris luxury hotels. When I settled in Alsace, it is actually one of the first place anyone recommended to me. The first time I dipped a spoon into one of the jars of jam of Christine Ferber, I understood straight away that I could not turn back. It’s quite simple: it’s the best jam I have ever tested and a real explosion of flavors. A true moment of happiness!
These jams are of excellent quality and are crafted by hand in the small and pretty village of Niedermorschwihr, not far from Colmar on the Alsace Wine Route. It’s also where you will find Christine Ferber’s shop. I was very surprised by the simplicity of the place, considering how famous the owner was. Le relais des Trois Epis is a family grocery store, where you will find jams (of course), bread, pastries, vegetables, newspapers, earthenware dishes, delicatessen, cake molds, cookbooks, ice creams… It’s a very surprising mix, which gives the place a very nice charm! It is authentic and you will be welcomed warmly. Success didn’t go to Christine Ferber’s head, and it’s really nice to see.
Christine Ferber and her team didn’t stop at jams. I can fully recommend their chocolates and pastries! Whether you are looking for a gift idea for someone or for a souvenir to bring back from your stay in Alsace, I believe you will find here what you are looking for…
