Villa Elyane, a charming bed and breakfast in Colmar

Villa Elyane is an exceptional bed and breakfast in Colmar. Quite frankly, it is one of my favorites! It is located in a huge house from 1925. Inside, there is a really well-done mix of styles. The splendid woodwork, the stairs, the Art Nouveau stained-glass windows, as well as some elements of decoration have been preserved, but the whole of the house has been restored in a very contemporary style. It’s not always an easy job, but the result is here: the whole is superb and the house has kept the charm of places with history.

Villa Elyane is a welcoming bed and breakfast offering high-end services. Well-received by Florence, the owner of the place, I felt confortable straight away. You can walk around freely in the different rooms of the house: rooms, living-room, pool room, games room, home cinema lounge, sauna… Yes, you’ve read correctly! All of this is available freely. I have to admit I wouldn’t have minded staying the whole week, as this bed and breakfast is so nice…

My room at Villa Elyane

I stayed in room 4, a splendid suite of 39m2 made up of two spacious rooms (a living room and a room) and of a terrace. As everything else in the house, this room is very clean and nicely decorated with a confortable bed. It’s a very beautiful place! There is even an expresso machine and a boiler.

The bathroom is not very big, but has a beautiful Italian jet shower. It’s very pleasant! Moreover, there are Nuxe products available. Toilets are separate.

Breakfast at Villa Elyane

Breakfast at Villa Elyane is of excellent quality. On the menu, you’ll find many organic and local products: pastries, various fresh breads, charcuterie, cheese, various cereals, Christine Ferber’s jams, freshly pressed fruit juices, organic chocolate spreads, Kusmi Teas… A real treat! The setting is also very pleasant, since the dining room still has its woodwork and Art Nouveau stained-glass windows. During summer, it is possible to take the breakfast in the garden.

Villa Elyane is very well located, right next to Colmar’s train station, in a very posh ad very quiet residential area. It is not at the heart of the town center, but Little Venice is only 15 minutes walk away. Being close to the train station can be very practical.
