The Villa Elyane is an exceptional guest house in Colmar. To tell you the truth, this is one of my favorite things! It is located in a huge house dating from 1925. Inside, a very successful mix of styles. The magnificent woodwork, the staircase, the Art Nouveau stained glass windows and certain decorative elements have been preserved, but the whole house has been renovated in a very contemporary style. A challenge not always easy to meet, but the result is there: the whole is simply superb and the house has retained the charm of places that have a history.

Villa Elyane is a warm and welcoming guest house offering high quality services. Florence, the owner of the place, welcomed me warmly and I immediately felt at ease. You can move around as you wish between the different rooms of the house: bedroom, living room, billiard room, games room, home cinema, sauna… Yes, you read that right! All this is freely accessible. I must admit that I would have settled down for the week so much this guest house is pleasant…

My room at the Villa Elyane

I stayed in suite number 4, a superb 39m2 suite composed of two spacious rooms (a living room and a bedroom) and a terrace. Like everything else in the house, this room was very clean and nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed. It’s a beautiful place! There is even an espresso machine and a kettle.

The bathroom is not very large but has a beautiful Italian shower with jets. Very nice! In addition, Nuxe products are offered. The toilets are separate.

Breakfast at the Villa Elyane

The breakfast at Villa Elyane is of excellent quality. On the menu, many organic and local products: pastries, fresh breads of various kinds, cold cuts, cheese, various cereals, Christine Ferber’s jams, pressed fruit juices, organic spreads, Kusmi Tea… A treat! The setting is also very pleasant, as the dining room has retained its Art Nouveau woodwork and stained glass windows. During the summer months, it is possible to have breakfast in the garden.

Location

The Villa Elyane is well located, just next to the train station of Colmar, in a chic and very quiet residential area. We are not in the heart of the city center but the small Venice is only at 15 minutes on foot and the proximity of the station can be very practical.
