ABOUT MY WEEKEND IN ALSACE

The story of love at first sight for a region

My name is Laurène Philippot. I didn’t grow up here, but I fell head over heels in love with Alsace over 10 years ago. What started out as a curiosity has become a consuming passion for this land, its vibrant culture and hidden treasures. It was this desire to share my discoveries that prompted me to create Mon week-end en Alsace, which has now become the benchmark blog for exploring the region.

A team of enthusiasts in every corner of Alsace

Because such a rich region cannot be explored alone, I was keen to surround myself with a team of local editors.

Our team is made up of native Alsatians and Alsatians at heart. They are experts in their field, with a passion for culture, hiking, gastronomy and heritage. This diversity enables us to offer you a wide range of views and complete coverage of the region, from north to south.

Our Mission: Alsace, the real thing

I created this blog with a fixed idea in mind: to offer travelers the best of Alsace, and to enable locals to (re)discover their own region with fresh eyes.

On Mon week-end en Alsace, we don’t just list places: we test, we taste, we pedal, we explore… to bring you only our real favorites.

Our promise to you? To share with you the Alsace we love, the Alsace we experience every day.

Since the creation of this site, I’ve had the immense privilege of collaborating with many players in the local tourism industry, and of seeing my community grow to tens of thousands of readers every month.

Our expertise is based on :

  • The terrain: Years of exploration, from the peaks of the Vosges to the banks of the Rhine.
  • Quality: A constant demand for quality and sincerity in our recommendations.
  • Proximity: We live here, we love here, and we know the secrets that only the locals share.
