The best option is clearly the Parkings Relais (P+R) such as Rotonde or Elsau. For €4.20, you park all day and get a round-trip streetcar ticket for all passengers (up to 7 people).
In Alsace, Sunday rest is sacred. Most stores are closed on Sundays, with the exception of bakeries and a few souvenir stores in the center. However, museums, restaurants and tourist activities remain open.
The entire historic center is easily accessible on foot. What’s more, Strasbourg is France’s No. 1 cycling city! Renting a bike (Vélhop) is a great way to get around. The city also boasts an excellent streetcar and bus network (Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois – CTS).
December is magical for its Christmas Market, but it’s also the busiest time of the year. To enjoy the city more calmly, opt for spring (May-June) orautumn (September-October), when temperatures are pleasant and the light on the Ill is magnificent. In summer (July-August), it can get very hot!
If you plan to visit at least 3 Strasbourg museums (Palais Rohan, Musée Alsacien, etc.) and take a trip on the Batorama boat, the Pass’Alsace or Strasbourg City Card will pay for itself in no time.
