Offering the pleasure of a bike ride in Alsace to everyone, including wheelchair users, people with disabilities, people with reduced mobility or the elderly, that's what Steve and Baptiste from La Kutch are all about! I'll take you on a tour of this wonderfully inclusive concept.
Short video presentation
What is Kutch?
Kutch was founded by Steve with one idea in mind: to enable everyone to enjoy cycling! With his first adapted bike, he decided to take people in wheelchairs for a ride, and the first feedback was immediate: joy, sharing, smiles…
He was soon inundated with requests, so Baptiste joined him in the adventure, with a second adapted bike, this time also enabling people who could still do light physical activity to pedal with him.
La Kutch offers adapted bike rides in Alsace, accompanied by one of the two riders, Steve or Baptiste, both of whom are passionate about inclusive mobility and really sincere in their approach, as well as being extremely friendly: I guarantee you’ll have a great time in their company!

Who is Kutch for?
For people who can’t or no longer ride a bike, such as wheelchair users (manual or electric), people with mental, visual or motor disabilities, the elderly or people losing their independence, residents ofEHPAD or medico-social facilities…
Adapted bicycles
The Kutch has two different bikes to suit a variety of riders:
- The traditional Kutch: a three-wheeled bicycle adapted for wheelchair users. The wheelchair is mounted on the platform at the front of the bike, with the rider at the rear. The wheelchair is secured by straps.
- Active Kutch: this time, both rider and participant sit side by side. Only the rider guides the tandem bike, but both can pedal (or the rider alone, as preferred).

The pleasure of a bike ride
Having tested both bikes, I found both concepts to be really cool, because they really do give you almost the same sensations as when you’re on a conventional bike: the landscapes in the foreground, the air on your face, the smells and sounds around you, a little feeling of speed at times, a few vibrations… In short, all the pleasure you can get from a bike ride, and that’s a great feeling! In short, all the pleasure you can get from a bike ride, and all the good it does!
What’s more – and this is of course an essential aspect – both bikes allow you to chat with the rider, making the ride even more enjoyable.
It’s also possible to bring the whole family along by bike… It’s a great way to have a great time and really enjoy cycling with your grandmother, for example! I think it’s a great idea.
When it comes to locations, it’s all à la carte: the Kutch takes its bikes all over Alsace! So you can plan a ride close to home, revisit places that evoke memories, take in nature… There are so many options!

Formulas for individuals and institutions
La Kutch offers a range of packages, suitable for both individuals and organizations:
