Where to buy the best kouglof in Colmar?

Where to buy the best kouglof in Colmar? I propose you here my two best addresses proposing the best kougelhopfs of Colmar according to me: they are both excellent. Come by early in the morning to buy them as they come out of the oven, it’s even better!

If you think kugelhopf is dry, go try one of these and you might change your mind. This has nothing to do with what is often sold in very touristy stores…Click here to see also my selection of the best kougelhopfs in Strasbourg.

The kouglof is to be eaten immediately or to be brought back as a souvenir of your weekend in Alsace, without waiting too long so that it doesn’t dry out!

Of course you can also make it yourself: here is a recipe for homemade kougelhopf.

Small spelling point: you can write kouglof or kougelhopf, you will find both.

My guide to Colmar

Plan an unforgettable stay in Colmar without wasting time looking for information with my guidebook : the most beautiful places, the activities not to be missed and the best addresses!

L’EnfarinĂ© at the Covered Market in Colmar

You can buy an excellent kougelhopf at the covered market of Colmar, where there is a stand of the bakery EnfarinĂ©. This artisanal bakery in Kaysersberg is well known by the locals because absolutely all their products are excellent, and the kouglof is one of them! It is really one of my favorite bakeries in Alsace. As a bonus, you will find many other excellent local products at the covered market… Enough to fill up on good things!

You will find here the schedule of the Enfariné stand in Colmar.

Gilg Pastry Shop near Little Venice

The Gilg pastry shop is very famous in Colmar. In addition to tasty pastries, they also have an excellent and very soft kougelhopf that I recommend. The grapes are macerated in kirsch brandy, the taste of which is not very strong. A very good address in Colmar in the heart of the city, close to the Little Venice.

Practical information

Here you can find the opening hours of the Gilg bakery.
