Spa La Clairière in La Petite Pierre

The La Clairière spa is the spa of the La Clairière hotel, located in La Petite Pierre. I tried it out during a stay in this hotel, but the spa is open all day to outsiders. Different formulas are offered for the Day Spa: from simple access to the spa to a package including the spa, treatments and a meal.

My summary

  • Large windows overlooking the surrounding nature
  • Very nice Jacuzzi
  • Organic food
  • Various activities outside the spa
  • Spaces a little small
  • Choice of “activities” reduced to the spa itself
  • A little expensive for the size of the spa

A small spa

The spa of La Clairière is a very nice spa for a hotel but it is quite small compared to other spas in Alsace (we are lucky to have very nice and big ones!). It includes an aquatic area with a Jacuzzi, an indoor pool and an outdoor pool as well as a sauna area with two saunas, a steam room, a cold water bath, an ice fountain and a rest area. An infrared cabin is also available at an additional cost.

It’s a pleasant place, with large bay windows overlooking the surrounding countryside, which is particularly beautiful around the hotel. I enjoyed spending time in the hot Jacuzzi while admiring the view outside! On the other hand, I felt a bit cramped in general: it was quite crowded when I was there, and the spaces are all quite small.

Optional activities

It’s worth noting that some packages include additional activities such as yoga, Qi Gong or meditation. This is the perfect way to spend a relaxing day!

If you opt for a meal package, you can try the La Clairière restaurant, which offers all-organic cuisine and a fully vegetarian menu. The food is very good!
