Hammam Les Cent Ciels in Strasbourg – The biggest in Alsace!

In the middle of August, as some people were leaving for vacation and others were returning, I treated myself to a wellness getaway at the largest hammam in Alsace, right in the heart of Strasbourg —a break that takes you to “Les Cent Ciels” (yes, that’s the name of the place—what a pun!). Let me tell you all about it!
The essentials at a glance
- 📍 Location: 12 Rue Finkmatt, right in downtown Strasbourg.
- 🕐 Recommended duration: There is no time limit, but plan on spending about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- 👥 Audience: solo, in pairs, or with friends; choose from mixed-gender sessions or women-only sessions.
- 💰 Price: starting at 42€.

My opinion on Les Cent Ciels
I liked
- The ambiance, the atmosphere, the decor
- Quality of care
- The different formulas proposed
- The friendliness of the staff
I liked less
- A little “heat stroke”, remember to stay well hydrated
An oriental spa to awaken the senses
In Alsace, we’re more used to the wellness centers found in neighboring Germany, and stepping into a backyard near the courthouse isn’t particularly appealing at first glance, but… Once the automatic door opens before you, it’s just like in the movies: your face lights up, and you’re swept away into a setting straight out of *One Thousand and One Nights* for an indefinite amount of time (I say that because there’s no time limit, but personally, 2 hours and 30 minutes was enough for me). A true journey to the Orient, right from Alsace!
The staff at Les Cent Ciels hammam will take excellent care of you and guide you through this mysterious space, past subtly lit corridors, wrought-iron staircases, and thick carved wooden doors. Everything you need is provided (bathrobe, towels, flip-flops)—just don’t forget your swimsuit!
Anyway, let’s get to the main point: a beautiful, spacious, warm hammam, with its golden fountain, its alcoves tiled in small brown tiles, its refreshing hand showers, and its orange-hued lamps that lend a cozy, subdued atmosphere to the gentle mist. There’s also the hot steam room, of course, a lovely little pool, and a cold plunge pool for the brave. Oh, and I forgot to mention—there are women-only hours and mixed-gender hours, whichever you prefer 😉

My Experience with the Rituel Eclat Plus
Of the various packages offered, I chose the Eclat Plus treatment: yes , as a stressed-out new mom, I really needed it! You probably know some people like that—go ahead and treat them right away.
But what exactly is it? You rub black soap all over yourself and let it sit for 15 minutes, then a lady comes to get you—and it’s not a massage that awaits you, but an invigorating body scrub! Here, there’s no shower gel with microbeads to lather up in the shower—instead, you use the Kessa glove, which stings a little but really removes dead skin from your body and face. But afterward, it’s time to soothe your skin with a rhassoul treatment ( volcanic clay and essential oils) and a facial mask made with fifteen organic plants. The result: skin almost as soft as my baby’s!
To round out this magical moment at Les Cent Ciels, I relaxed in a lovely lounge with a starry ceiling, enjoying a delicious complimentary mint tea. As this enchanting experience came to an end, I had only one desire: to go back with my friends! Let yourself be tempted by the journey… Just so you know, I didn’t try the sauna, the gym, or the restaurant—I’ll definitely do that next time!
💧 My tip: After the hot steam room, be sure to stay hydrated—the heat can really take you by surprise!

Rituals for two or solo
Different formulas are offered at Les Cent Ciels. Rituals, which are the most complete formulas, and à la carte treatments, which do not include access to the facilities (hammam, sauna, pool and cold bath).
If you come as a couple, you can opt for a ritual for two for a pleasant romantic moment in Strasbourg. There are many rituals and care all more tempting than the others (massages with argan oil, baths with donkey milk, scrub with muscat rose seeds …). You will only have to choose what suits your needs of the moment, and let’s go for a relaxing moment…
💑 My tip: If you’re not sure which package to choose, the couples’ ritual is always a safe bet for a romantic getaway without having to stress about picking treatments.
