Map of our romantic addresses

1. Hotel 48° Nord in Breitenbach

For an unusual and romantic weekend in Alsace, we recommend the Hotel 48° Nord. Its beautiful Scandinavian-style wooden cabins blend in perfectly with the surrounding nature, and you can enjoy saunas, jacuzzis and nordic baths while admiring the panoramic view of the surroundings. A favorite for a wellness weekend that could be adapted to a honeymoon!

What’s more,Hotel 48° Nord boasts a restaurant that works exclusively with organic and truly local produce (they don’t travel more than 150km to reach the chef’s hands!). So you can treat yourself to creative, original cuisine.

2. La Cheneaudière at Colroy la Roche

It’s impossible to talk about a romantic weekend in Alsace without mentioning L’Hostellerie La Cheneaudière, a 5-star hotel with the Relais & Châteaux label, and its incredible spa. We are fortunate to have many beautiful spas in the area, but I must admit that this one is my favorite. I love the atmosphere that emanates from it and its perfect integration with the surrounding nature.

The hotel itself is also very pleasant, set in beautiful natural surroundings and very comfortable. You can also enjoy its excellent restaurant. Beautiful hotel, delicious dinner, breakfast and spa – what could be better for a romantic weekend?

3. Hameau des Sens in Phalsbourg (Lorraine)

Le Hameau des Sens is located in Phalsbourg, Lorraine, right on the border with Alsace. It’s the ideal place for a romantic getaway, as you’ll be staying in a beautiful, comfortable wooden chalet with a private Nordic bath on its terrace, set on a telluric well overlooking meadows. It’s a lovely, unusual place to stay!

On-site, you can enjoy Ayurvedic massages, have your dinner and breakfast delivered, and reserve special packages for lovers, complete with champagne, flowers and chocolate. You’ll find yourself in the perfect cocoon to enjoy your wellness break!

4. Auberge Saint-Laurent in Sierentz

I love the Auberge Saint-Laurent, discovered during a bike trip, and which is a perfect place to take your lover. It is a real little haven of peace, with a friendly atmosphere, a charming decoration and a swimming pool to relax. Don’t miss the restaurants on site: you can choose between the Auberge Saint-Laurent, a starred restaurant, or the Winstub A côté, which also offers excellent cuisine. In short, you can’t go wrong 🙂

5. Hotel Le Moulin in Gundershoffen

When I think of a romantic stay in Alsace, I inevitably think of Hôtel Le Moulin in Gundershoffen, in northern Alsace, right at the entrance to the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park. Le Moulin is a little jewel where time stands still: between the charming Alsatian buildings, the pleasant garden and the stream running through the estate, it’s all at once magnificent, relaxing… And romantic, of course! The restaurant is also top-notch , and there’s plenty to do in the surrounding area over the weekend.

6. Château d’Isenbourg in Rouffach

The Castle of Isenbourg in Rouffach, between Colmar and Mulhouse, is a 4 star hotel. This is the place where I chose to celebrate one of my wedding anniversaries. It’s a beautiful place: imagine a château overlooking the vineyards, allowing you to admire the beauty of the Alsatian landscape…

The rooms are decorated in such a way as to truly immerse you in the château’s ambience, and there’s also a small spa and restaurant on site. What’s more, the château offers special packages that include certain services, such as a bottle of champagne in your room.

7. Hotel la Cour du Corbeau, Strasbourg

Strasbourg is a romantic city par excellence, so treat yourself to an overnight stay in the magnificent Cour du Corbeau! Admittedly, the name doesn’t make you dream, but once you’ve seen and experienced it, it’s an incredible memory. Here there are no crows (a few pigeons at best!) but a splendid 16th century building with traditional Alsatian half-timbering – renovated with style – in the heart of the city, on the quai des Bateliers. It was even elected best hotel in France a few years ago on Tripadvisor, so you won’t take any risks (accommodation wise!) for the wedding proposal 😉

8. Hôtel du Parc, Obernai

I discovered theHotel du Parc thanks to the Etoiles d’Alsace package. This 4-star hotel is located in the pretty town ofObernai, south of Strasbourg, and we were not disappointed! The rooms are spacious and classic, with a variety of touches: Asian, art deco, Alsatian… The Hotel du Parc has a magnificent spa: the Yonaguni Spa, which I recommend you try out, it’s really incredible.

As for breakfast, it’s pantagruelian! Yes, that’s the right word: there are buffets in several places in the restaurant’s large dining room, as well as a self-service counter where all the hot dishes are waiting for us. This is one of the best hotels in Obernai and Alsace!

9. Apartments 1834 & Spa in Colmar

Looking for a romantic stay in Colmar? I recommend apartments 1834 & Spa 11 apartments, each decorated with a different theme and located in downtown Colmar. The big plus? The shared basement spa: Jacuzzi, hammam and sauna await you!

10. La Maison d’Emilie in Pfaffenheim

La Maison d’Emilie is a charming bed and breakfast located in an old 17th century building in Pfaffenheim, on the Alsace Wine Route. The rooms are all very nice and there is a nice pool to cool off in.

The table d’hôtes and breakfast are really excellent. The chef is none other than the owner, who has worked in many Michelin-starred restaurants around the world… That gives you an idea of the level! 😉

11. Hôtel le Colombier, Colmar

If you’re looking for a romantic weekend in Colmar,Hotel le Colombier is a great option. Located in the heart of the Little Venice district, this is a charming 4 star hotel located in an old building and mixing in its decoration both old and more contemporary elements. With this hotel in the center of Colmar, you can easily enjoy the city on foot: good restaurants and nice walks await you around the hotel!

12. Vine fishing in Rodern

Pêche de Vigne is a beautiful hotel located in an old wine farm on the Alsace Wine Route.

The building is superb, the rooms spacious and very comfortable , and you can enjoy the pleasant outdoor swimming pool and spa area. Here, for example, you can book a duo massage…

As for meals, breakfast is excellent and varied, and you can book a dinner prepared by a local caterer. Perfect for couples!

13. Hôtel Le Chambard, Kaysersberg

I tried out Le Chambard, a 5* hotel in Kaysersberg, one of Alsace’s best-known villages, thanks to the Etoiles d’Alsace package. It is clearly a must in Alsace and even more so in love. It is located in a colorful Alsatian half-timbered building, romantic as can be and is clearly one of the best hotels in Kaysersberg!

From this wonderful experience, we’ll remember the warm, classy welcome, the quality of the food served from breakfast to dinner, and the spa! For a five-star hotel, the welcome isn’t stuffy, and you immediately feel at home. We tried out the Winstub, which serves Alsatian dishes with a “star” touch, as well as the breakfast (in the same place), which featured the finest regional produce. What a treat to be able to take home the homemade kouglof… Yum!

As for the spa, it remains relatively “simple” with a hammam, a sauna, a jacuzzi and a pool but with a nice menu of massages, my favorite sin during a romantic getaway!

14. Domaine du Hirtz in Wattwiller

Looking for a 100% relaxing break in the middle of the forest? Just a stone’s throw from Wattwiller, Domaine du Hirtz is an eco-tourism complex offering a complete package perfect for your romantic weekend.

You can dine on site before spending the night in one of our eco-lodges, close to nature. A stay at “Le Hirtz” wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the spa! Once again, nature takes pride of place, and it’s among the trees and birds that you’ll discover these incredible Nordic-inspired facilities (350m course and 12 buildings). A welcome breath of fresh air for anyone looking for a break.

The location is particularly conducive to walking (botanical path and waterfall nearby) and hiking (at the foot of the Vieil-Armand), both of which are pleasant preliminaries to the spa! In addition to the seasons and their natural charm, many events take place throughout the year and enliven this timeless place.

15. Hotel Dollenberg in Bad Peterstal-Griesbach (Germany)

Change of atmosphere, here it’s luxury the German way! Nestled in the beautiful curved valleys of the Black Forest, this famous Relais & Châteaux establishment will offer you everything you need to think of nothing else but your loved one.

You could clearly spend your time in the unique spa, but if you feel like getting away from it all, there are small and large hiking trails that will satisfy you; the establishment even has a typical chalet to enjoy, the Renchtalhütte, a few kilometers away.

16. Les Ecrins at Orbey

Les Ecrins– now there’s a name that promises a good weekend, eh? Les Ecrins is a superb B&B located in a Maison de Maître in Orbey, a stone’s throw from Kaysersberg and close to the mountains. A very pleasant location!

The rooms, all themed on a precious stone, are delightful and comfortable. You’ll be warmly welcomed by Sébastien and Patrick, who’ll also prepare a breakfast to die for! As a bonus, you can enjoy a moment together in the jacuzzi, as well as a duo massage. Perfect, don’t you think?

17. Unter der Linde in Nordheim

Do you love old buildings steeped in history and half-timbered houses? Come and stay at the Unter der Linde guest house, set in a sublime Alsatian farmhouse in Nordheim, between Strasbourg and the start of the Alsace Wine Route.

You’ll stay in superb, spacious rooms decorated in traditional Alsatian style, and enjoy a delicious breakfast served in the stub (the living room typical of Alsatian houses) or on the terrace. A moment out of time!

18. A summer evening in Ernolsheim-Bruche

Here are some very cute guest rooms to spend a romantic stay, in a zen environment ! Un Soir d’été is located in Ernolsheim-Bruche, a village west of Strasbourg and near the beginning of the Wine Route.

In general, I fell in love with these B&Bs because of the 60’s and 70’s atmosphere that reigns in this 18th century Alsatian farmhouse, and because of the designers featured in each of the accommodations, 2 bedrooms and a studio. I chose the Rietveld room in particular for its decor, inspired by Mondrian and Strasbourg’s Aubette, and for its open-plan bedroom-bathroom layout.

Breakfast was rather simple compared with more luxurious hotels, but included local and organic produce. The owner, Nathalie, also offers yoga classes and ayurvedic massages, which we may try out next time?

19. Villa Elyane in Colmar

Villa Elyane is a beautiful bed and breakfast in Colmar, located 15 minutes walk from the city center and right next to the train station. It is a superb building dating from the beginning of the 20th century, with beautiful volumes and interior elements of various styles, such as a superb Art Nouveau staircase. The complex is really successful and offers exceptional services: lounge, billiard room, games, home cinema and sauna are waiting for you… In addition to a delicious breakfast to start the day!

20. Maison d’hôtes du Parc in Ronchamp (Vosges du Sud)

For this address, we leave Alsace for the Southern Vosges, for natural romance just an hour from Mulhouse! Nestled in a rural area some twenty minutes from Belfort, you’ll find yourself in a genuine 19th-century manor house run by a warm and attentive duo. On the small river side or on the large garden side, the 5 rooms each have their own style, carefully chosen; my favorite is Le rivage!

For evening dining, you can choose between the chic local cuisine of “Le Rhien” or the delicious “bonne franquette” of “Cook” (ask for the theme, the last time I was there it was “farm in the mountains” – there was hay on the floor, surprising but brilliant!) For nearby activities, don’t miss the famous and unique Chapelle de Ronchamp (50’s architecture by Le Corbusier), as well as Petite Finlande and Auberge des Milles Etangs.

21. Les Fermes de Pinpin in Labaroche

We’ve fallen in love with Les Fermes de Pinpin, made up of several gîtes. For a romantic getaway, I recommend the Fermette or the Maison troglodyte, both of which are little cocoons to curl up in. Decorated with elements lovingly collected by Guy, they’re a real success. As an added bonus, there’s a pleasant outdoor swimming pool in fine weather.

It’s the ideal place for a real nature break: we’re in the middle of the Vosges mountains, and the setting is absolutely magnificent! All you have to do is go out for a walk and enjoy the beauty of the area. The Wine Route, with Kaysersberg in particular, is not far away either.

22. Gîtes les Remparts de Riquewihr

Les Remparts de Riquewihr are magnificent gîtes located in the heart of the charming village of Riquewihr, on the Alsace Wine Route, in a completely renovated 16th-century building. They are tastefully decorated in a traditional Alsatian style and offer very nice amenities. These are places full of charm and where you will find everything you need to spend a wonderful romantic weekend!

23. Bed and breakfast La Part des Anges

La Part des Anges in Fortsfeld, in northern Alsace near Soufflenheim, offers an exceptional experience for couples looking for a memorable stay. This unique bed and breakfast boasts a large private wellness area, with a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna in the garden, offering a wonderful interlude for relaxation and disconnection. Guests can also enjoy a personalized breakfast based on local produce, and, for dinner, enjoy cheese and charcuterie boards accompanied by wines selected by Philippe, owner and wine merchant. Please note that this unusual accommodation is often fully booked months in advance!

24. Love Room Mystic House

The Mystic House in Quatzenheim, near Strasbourg, offers a unique glamorous experience. Visitors can enjoy a living room, kitchen and a spa complete with jacuzzi, sauna and hammam on the first floor. Upstairs is a bedroom with a king-size bed and XL shower, next to a “playroom” equipped for unique sensory experiences, including a sex swing, tantra couch and St André cross, for a pleasure-filled adventure in an intimate setting…
